Power bar"Gibsons New IMDF-DB Dirty Figures humbucker is a faithful recreation of the raucous pickup John Sykes used during his time in Thin Lizzy . The pickup is instantly recognizable, with its black coil covers and dual rows of adjustable gold-foil pole pieces. Like the original, the new Dirty Figures uses two types of ceramic magnets to create its thick overtones. In addition, its copper tape and multishielded wire are custom made to original specs, to ensure the pickup sounds and performs as well as the original, I dropped the Dirty Fingers into both position on a heavy 1981 Les Paul Custom and ran it through a 1969 Marshall Reissue "Plexi" half stack. The pickup was immensely loud and vicious. Its high gain provided me with tons of power and sustain, but the pickup remained quiet and very clear on single notes. Chords sizzled with extreme energy, and the overtones were spectacular. In fact, Ive never heard a pickup that complemented EL34-style distortion better than this. If youre looking for a new voice for your guitar that combines equal extremes of muscle and musicality, the IMDF-DB Dirty Fingers may have the balance of power youre looking for." -Dec 2005 Guitar World on pg. 180...
